Balochistan: Kidnapped UN official released


The kidnapped UN official John Solecki has been released by kidnappers, reported Geo News, and Dawn news two private TV channels.

"A United Nations official who was abducted in Pakistan more than two months ago was released on Saturday. private TV channel DAWN NEWS reported. The kidnappers said they had released John Solecki, chief of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Quetta city, on humanitarian grounds, said the report. John would be sent to a hospital first and flown to the capital Islamabad later, according to the DAWN NEWS"

QUETTA: The drama of abducted UNHCR, official John Solecki has drawn to its end with his release.

The spokesman of BLUF, Shehak Baloch informed Bureau office of Online Quetta that John Solecki has been released on humanitarian grounds, and should serve as a message to UN and global community, that Baloch elements were not terrorists, but an educated, and civilized nation.

John Solecki was released from the Quetta-Karachi Road area of Khad Koocha , located near Mastung
