Original source of karachi based taleban's newspaper

Karachi based newspaper promoting the Taleban agenda

Karachi based newspaper educating and promoting taleban elements.

The daily "Ummat" an urdu language newspaper based in Karachi, has given a report claiming BLA spying for US against taliban. This newspaper directly supports Taliban movement. It mostly publishes interviews of Taliban leaders and news about their activities. It encourages Taliban activities in the region showing them as a role model for the new generation.

It should be very clear for the readers across the world that if Pakistan is really serious in its so-called 'War on Terror', Pakistan claims it will crush Taliban movement, question arises Is it possible to crush Taliban movement in presence of such newspaper which is not based in FATA nor Waziristan but Karachi. Is this a failure of a state in 'War on Terror'? Or in actuality intelligence agencies run "Ummat" newspaper by their own. They are directly preaching the agenda of Talibans which will give birth more talebans any place where one can read urdu language.

US and European Union should not handover billions of dollars blindly to Pakistan before targeting taleban elements. United State should take immediate action against this particular newspaper which is in actual a master mind of Taliban movement.

This criminal minded newspaper is trying to divert the Taliban movement into Balochistan to use them against Baloch Freedom struggle. The Baloch land is already occupied by Pakistan and natural resources are being plundered by dominant punjabi's.The Baloch is only secular minded nation in this region where it is about to break the chain of its slavery but now Pakistani (ISI dictated) newspapers are trying propogandas against Baloch. Media is giving priority to Taliban in Balochistan in order to tackle Baloch freedom fighters.

Geneva cops foil ISI bid to take snaps of Baluch activist

Quetta: Police in Geneva stopped two suspicious characters for trying to spy upon and take pictures of a senior Baluch representative to the United Nations Human Rights Council.

The two, who were trying to take snaps of Mehran Baluch, a younger brother of Baluch national hero Hyrbyair Marri, turned out to be Pakistani diplomats posted at Bern.

Police recovered documents and ID cards that showed the two were working for the Pakistani mission in Bern.

Anjuman Ittehad Marri, an organization struggling to defend the rights of the indigenous Baluch people and ousting Pakistani occupation troops from Baluchistan, has condemned the incident.

The two Pakistanis, who were most definitely agents of the infamous Inter Services Intelligence, were keeping a surveillance of the streets around the hotel where Baluch was staying.

This is not the first time Pakistani officials have tried to obstruct the work of Baluch, whose elder brother Nawabzada Bala'ach Marri was killed by the Pakistani military on November 20, 2007.

Two years ago two Pakistani officials gate crashed into the compound of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva in a bid to stop Baluch from speaking at the world forum.

Pakistani authorities, notably the Inter Services Intelligence, have also tried to obstruct international travelling of Baluch by providing false information to intelligence set-ups of foreign nations.

In March 2009, the Pakistani embassy in Switzerland wrote a letter to the Swiss government that Baluch is a terrorist and should be prevented from coming to Geneva.

Interfaith International chairman Charles Graves conducted a probe and so did the Swiss authorities and dismissed the Pakistani charges as baseless, unfounded and contrary to facts.

The UN Human Rights Council informed the Baluch delegate that there were no charges against him and no one will be allowed to hinder his international outreach work for his occupied homeland.

After failing to officially obstruct Baluch's work, the Pakistani spooks are trying to make secret video footage of his moves.

"Such acts are against the Geneva Convention and international norms of conduct,' the Anjuman Ittehad Marri said in a statement condemning the antics of the Pakistani spies. "Such vulgar actions cannot stop the Baluch voice from being heard at international forum nor can they prevent the Baluch leaders from speaking the truth," the AIM said.

The organization said due to the tireless efforts of Baluch activists the Baluch national question is coming into international limelight and introduced their national identity to nations across the world, much to the chagrin of the illegitimate state of Pakistan and its various organs.

"Mehran Baluch and other international activists are representing the interests of the Baluch people in broad daylight, rather than in the shadows," the AIM representative said. "Pakistan is in a state of paranoia and these shameless antics and uncalled for actions of the Pakistani agents are inexcusable," the AIM said.

Pakistan fears exposure of its black deeds in Baluchistan and is using dirty tricks to prevent the Baluch story from being heard at international forums.

AIM said the Baluch people are confident the UN Human Rights Council would not heed to Pakistan's conspiracies against the Baluch.

It recalled that the British government under pressure from coup leader and dictator, General Pervez Musharraf, had arrested Hyrbyair Marri and his aide Faiz Baluch, but they were found not guilty by a London jury.

The Baluch are totally opposed to Pakistan's parasitic existence on the world map as their Texas-sized homeland was occupied against their wishes on March 27, 1948 – seven months after the British left India divided.

Baluch is a son of legendary national leader Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri.

Chief Of Jhalawan Or National Traitor?

Balochistan is burning from last 62 years by the bless of Pakistan.Pakistani state terrorism is on peak, millitary operation spreaded in all over Balochistan.Morethan 500,000 displaced in different places with no shelter & food, thousands got martyred, about 8000 shifted to unknown millitary torture cells.Family members are waiting for their loved one's without knowing either they are alive?or died in the holy torture cells of Islamic Republic of Pakistan?

Pakistani government has already decided to crush Baloch nation in order to plunder natural resources. In reality rulers love the Baloch land but not Baloch nation.Islamabad promised several mega projects in Balochistan, but in actual these projects are tool to extend the slavery.

If Gwadar port will be the source of economicall revolution in Balochistan so why an army cantonment is necessary in Gwadar? The old population will be shifted to ''Fishermen Town''as mentioned in master plan of Gwadar. The new housing schemes will be populated by punjabis & indian mohajirs, while Baloch will be limited to''Fishermen Town'' as today facing same sort of problems in Karachi. Why an army cantonment needed right besides''Sui Gas Plant''?Why a cantonment is must in Kohlu?

These are the projects to weaken the Baloch nation politically as well as economically, they want to make us slave and dependent for next 62 years.State has hired several so called nationalist for performing this duty. These tribal chief's turned blind, dumb and deaf, they are unable to see the worse situation of Baloch, they cant hear the cry of nation, they got no courage to speak a word against the brutality of the state.Baloch nation being displaced, killed, kidnaped and tortured by the army of ''Islamic Republic of Pakistan''.After such a cruelity what action taken by respected ''Tribal Chiefs''.Did they take the revenge of displaced peoples?Did they take the revenge of missing persons?Did they take the revenge of martyrs?Did they take the revenge of sister''Zarina Marri'' who is sexually harassed in millitary torture cell and many others we even dont know their names. But unfortunately the ''Balochi Gherat'' (honour) of tribal chief is missing somewhere or sleeping. The provincial minister chief of Jhalawan Sanaullah zehri loosing strong hold in his area after the successful freedom movement.Baloch people already boycotted him in Balochistan now in his own constituency. The state and his terrorist army failed to crush Baloch resistance movement for Independence. Now Pakistan using her play cards in name of ''Balochi honour'' to turned a war of independence into a tribal war.Sanaullah zehri said in his recent press statement''My Balochi honour allows me to send my tribesmen in Mengal's territority. He added that'' he will fight with strength, the entire land will be full of dead bodies, and i will not be responsible of killings.''

The entire Baloch nation is in state of war,but tribal chief never contributed or ''Balochi honour'' never violated by the sins of state. But today he is becoming a hurdle in baloch national movement of independence. He is diverting a political matter into a tribal war, which is not in the interest of nation. If he will comitt this blunder on instructions of state so Baloch nation will never forgive him and history will not remembered him as ''Chief of Jhalwan'' but as a ''national traitor''

How Panjgur is losing the battle

By Malik Siraj AkbarI have not been blogging for the past few days. I was in my hometown of Panjgur to celebrate the Eid festivities. Panjgur is located on Pakistan-Iran border. For a long time, the place has been popular for its delicious dates. People no longer flaunt about the dates of Panjgur nowadays after a virus called Sherago caused severe damage to the date production. The problem has been there for more than four years with the provincial agriculture department doing too little about it despite the ironic fact that the provincial agriculture minister, Mir Asadullah Baloch, belongs to the same district.

Panjgur is one of the few places in Balochistan where tribal system was abolished centuries ago. Therefore, one can feel the presence of a large middle class in the area. It is the home to a lot of struggling young men (women still have a longer way to go) to make their mark in the practical life.

Towns like Khudabadan, Gramkan and Sordo have proudly given birth to a few well-known individuals who came from lower or middle class families of Panjgur. Yet, they rose to top positions in the province of Balochistan by virtue of personal commitment to their goals and undeterred struggle.

These proud sons of Panjgur, who have personally impressed me, include:

Waja Faqir Baloch: Born in Gramkan and served as a Chief Secretary of Balochistan

Waja Abdul Malik Baloch: Born in Gramkan and served as a Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan.

Hakeem Baloch: Born in Gramkan, served as the Acting Chief Secretary of Balochistan, authored more than a dozen literary books in Balochi, Urdu and English languages and is known among the founding fathers of Baloch Students’ Organization (BSO).

Kachkol Ali Baloch: Born in Gramkan, served as the Leader of the Opposition in Balochistan Assembly during the gruesome military regime of Pervez Musharraf.

Ayub Baloch: Born in Sordo and served as the secretary information in the government of Balochistan.

Haji Abdul Qayyum Baloch: Born in Khudabadan in August 1925, he laid the foundation of the Balochi Academy, Quetta, the world’s largest academy of Balochi language.

Dr. Naimatullah Gichki: Born in 1942 in Sordo, Dr. Gichki is a renowned Balochi language writer.

When you walk in Mekran (the region comprising of Panjgur, Turbat and Gwadar), one of the first things you notice is the stiff competition between the people of Panjgur and Turbat. While both the districts have had marvelous collective contributions for Balochistan, internally they undergo a constant debate as to who is doing better in the domains of education, civil service examinations and possession of jobs.

During the 1990s, Panjgur went through tremendous social transformation with the establishment of some stupendous private educational institutions. Zahir Hussain, rather Sir Zahir Hussain, as the locals call the USA-educated pioneer of The Oasis Academy, undeniably had the greatest contribution for this social transformation of the society. The Oasis Academy, which was previously called as the American English Language Center, inculcated modern and progressive thoughts in the minds of the students and gave them a modern vision of life. Today, hundreds of students from this particular academy in one of the most backward parts of Balochistan have walked out of their district to attain higher education. Social change is an evolutionary process. It takes a lot of time. Sir Zahir had the patience and the courage to dream. He truly brought a change in his area.

Today, you find many young men from Panjgur straining for a better future somewhere in someway. This may not appear to be a big change for someone living in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore or even Quetta. I still consider it as a major change when kids living in huts and wooden cabins of Balochistan yearn for change. It always takes an age for the smaller change to become a big change noticed by the whole world.

The people of Panjgur claim without any valid reference that they hold more bureaucratic offices in the region as compared to their counterparts hailing from Turbat. According to the Panjguris, the people from Turbat call them “the other Punjabis’. This phrase fits in Balochistan’s larger political arena where the Balochs complain that the Punjabis have dominated every sphere of life.

Despite belonging to Panjgur, I disagree. I have more respect for the collectively struggle of the people of Turbat. Turbat is home to more bookshops, libraries, academies, non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, and educational institutions. More boys and girls from that town brave to travel and opt for higher learning. What I admire very highly is the liberal mindset of the people of Turbat towards religion and politics.

During my recent trip to Panjgur, I was devastated to see the change in the Panjguri society. Unfortunately, the positive social change has begun to reverse. There is more radicalization of the society than ever before. Pessimism encouraged by the clergy has made the youth absoluate rejectionists. They reject worldly progress. They abhor entertainment. The erstwhile change-makers had now begun to succumb before the orthodoxy. I saw a different Panjgur from the one that I had seen and lived in during my teenage days in 1990s.

The Panjgurian society has stopped reading and intellectually debating on the issues. While we thought the small change brought by the English language centers would one day culminate into a major educational revolution, the change in itself has stopped all in a sudden. Today, you can not get a single English language newspaper in the town. I can recall how easy it was some years ago to get a copy of Pakistan’s premier English language newspapers like Dawn, the News and The Nation or at least the Balochistan Times. Now, you do not get any of these newspapers.

I spoke to a few “liberals” of the town as to why the society was deliberately pushing itself towards backwardness. They made a number of excuses. They said the national English newspapers had stopped coming to Panjgur because there was no proper transportation system. The next moment, I asked if I could get a copy of Zarb-e-Momen, the pro-Jihadi Karachi-based weekly newspaper, I was cheered with a Subhanallah [words of praise], “Oh sure! Why not? Do you want some older issues along with the fresh edition?” It is easy to find Jihadi literature in Panjgur as compared to progressive literature.

On the contrary, the liberals in Turbat have not allowed this to happen. You can still get a copy of Newsweek,Time, the Economist or the Readers’ Digest in the defunct headquarters of the Mekran division. I was very surprised to see dozens of copies of each Urdu novel in a local bookstore there. You can effortlessly grab your copy of works by Asmat Chugthahi, Saadat Hassan Manto, Qurat-ul-Ainn Haider or progressive stuff by Syed Sabat-e-Hassan, Iqbal Ahmed, Tariq Ali and Mubrak Ali. In the local genre, you will not miss Syed Zahoor Shah Hashimi, Murad Saher or Atta Shad.

On the other hand, in Panjgur, home to around three hundred thousand, one cannot get a single English newspaper to read. In terms of Urdu literature, no shop in any corner of this town has a single Urdu novel written by anyone to sell.

I was told that a lot of money was coming from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and many other Arab countries these days to radicalize the Baloch society. Religious schools are mushrooming. Outsiders are nipping to the town to get education from the religious schools lavishly funded by Arab countries. Interestingly, the language centers that once played a magnificent role in the development of the society have now began to teach the kids the translation of short Quranic verses, the six Kalimas and the religious prayers prescribed for eating, sleeping etc. “Perverted images” from the New American Streamline textbook have been removed and “filthy words” such as “love”, “kiss”, “sexist” have been “carefully rephrased” in order to “ensure” the “sanctity of the classrooms”

The Pakistani Establishment, fully cognizant of these developments, is delightedly viewing this process of Islamization of the Baloch society. Foreign money has made the local clerics of the most influential political and economic stakeholders of the society. More and more foreigners are entering the town without legal documents. In my childhood, I had not heard of Turks and Uzbaks coming to Panjgur. Today’s Jang, Pakistan’s most circulated Urdu newspaper, reports the arrest of three Turks and one Macedonian national from Panjgur. Where do they come from? Who is sponsoring these trips? What is actually happening in my town?

Baloch nationalists in Panjgur have lost to the Mullah and pro-establishment nationalists. The level of nationalistic awareness has embarrassingly declined. A town once known for its liberal writers, intellectuals and committed nationalists is gradually derailing. Not many people truly realize in the area how much you lose when you shut a library. It is the society that becomes the biggest loser when cricket/football tournaments and Balochi musical programs stop taking place.

The only “good news” I heard about Panjgur was about the allotment of a huge area in Khudabadan town by the government to the Tabligee Jammat (the group of Islamic preachers) to conduct a huge congregation of the Islamic preachers in the town.

“You see we have become very lucky by now,” boastfully mentioned the young boy sitting beside me on the bus on my way back to Quetta, “Allah has chosen by His blessings the town of Panjgur for this august annual gathering. Every year, around two hundred thousand Muslims come from Iran, Afghanistan and all over Pakistan to cogitate about the fate of the Muslim Ummah.”
“Has the government allotted land for any libraries in the area,” I inquired.
“What are they?” he asked back.
“Oh sorry. You don’t kno them. Are there any universities in the area for the students?” I tried to find out.
“No. There are no transportation facilities. Who will come and go to a university?” he replied.
“Has the government provided the town with a railway track by now?” I asked again.
“No. No one takes interest in the development of the area,” he added.
“Any industrial units?” I went on.
“No. They are an agent of distraction. If you have a lot of money around you then you will never think about your life hereafter. We are glad we don’t’ have them,” he explained.
“So who makes arrangements for a mammoth religious gathering in this tiny town,” I asked.
“Allah!” he retorted.

Curfew implemented in Tump

According to the reports received by Sagaar an unofficial curfew has been implemented in the area of Tump, Balochistan. The announcement was made from the loud speakers of the mosques in the area, which announced shot at sight for the people who violated the curfew, the residents of Tump are asked not to leave their houses after 5 evening till morning or else they would face fatal consequences, this announcement was made by Pakistan army and a large number of force has also been deployed in the area.

In order for the viewers to have a better understanding of the consequences of this decision of Pakistan army, they should be knowing that in Balochistan the houses are built far apart from each other and the houses are mostly one room buildings where a father lives in one room and the son in another with a distance of 50-100 meters of his house, In the similar way the kitchens are built with similar distances which means that after the financially broken Balochs of Tump would enter the one roomed homes at the evenings would be literally in a “jailed” condition. The people would not also be able to go to offer their prayers once the curfew time starts.

This attempt of Pakistan can be seen as an attempt to jail whole cities in order to suppress the voice of Baloch nation, and this act shows how much is the army afraid of common people of Balochistan who are though bare handed but have a weapon of faith in their struggle of freedom and international peace.

Balochs in karachi being victimised for their national heritage

Members of a governing political party assaulted the Balochs , who were informing the representative of the High court of Pakistan about the illegal constructions on their ancestral land. According to the eye witnesses of the incident, at the time when the residents of Gatter Baghecha, an old town in Karachi where Baloch people are thought to be living for decades, came to explain the court’s representative about the illegal constructions done on their land a large group of the members of a governing political party Muthahida Qaumi Movement (party which belongs to the ethnic groups which miagrated from the eastern parts of India) assaulted the residents.

The members of the party chanted slogans for their leader and warned the people in front of the police and other security forces that Karachi belongs to them (M.Q.M.) and as quoted by one of the witness they (members) said “ We would do whatever we want, and if you refuse there wont be anyone to bury your bodies”. The security officials at the incidents preffered to stay quite which proved their loyalities towards the governing party, the Baloch residents of the place are under immense pressure from the mentioned racist party which has complete support of the government institutions. The leader of the mentioned party is presently a resident of London, U.K., and we here appeal to the locals of U.K. to force the English government to take neccasary actions rather than proving the leader with a political assylum.

The situation in Baluchistan has reached a point of no return: AFB

By Ahmar Mustikhan

WASHINGTON DC
: A premier Washington DC-based Baluchistan organization has called an announcement made by Islamabad that President Asif Ali Zardari will be announcing an amnesty for Baluch freedom fighters "a mere eyewash."

"The situation in Baluchistan has reached a point of no return. No power on earth can close the floodgates of freedom that have opened in Baluchistan, right from Tump to Mashkey to Dera Bugti and Kohlu," two presiding council members of the pro-independence American Friends of Baluchistan, Rasheed Baluch of Dallas, Texas, and Ghafoor Baluch of Miami, Fla., said Tuesday.

The AFB statement came in the backdrop of reports that government of Pakistan was considering amnesty to Baluch sarmachars, or freedom fighters, demanding independence, including Sardar Brahamdagh Bugti, the political heir of former governor and chief minister of Baluchistan, Nawab Akbar Bugti, 79.

Nawab Bugti was killed on the orders of Pakistan coup plotter and then army chief, General Pervez Musharraf, on August 26, 2006. Musharraf has now been ordered by the Baluchistan High Court to appear before it for the extra judicial killing of the Baluch statesman on October 6.

"Mr. Zardari, with a begging bowl in his hands, is seeking funds for the Punjabi mercenaries who have turned Baluchistan into a killing field," the two AFB activists said. "This army is sincere with none, and is especially insincere with the International Security Assistance Force [in Afghanistan]. We call upon US special envoy to the region, Richard Holbrooke and Secretary Hilary Clinton not to be misled by the Pakistani soldiers who are the single most potent threat to world peace," the two AFB activists said.

"The Baluch do not trust the Pakistan army, which is an occupation force in Baluchistan. President Zardari's announcement of an amnesty is nothing more than a mere eyewash," they added.

They said seldom have security forces targeted women in the region but Pakistan's fanatically jihadist Frontier Constabulary last week opened fire on a peaceful rally in Tump in which a Baluch women teacher Shahnaz Baluch was wounded as the bullet pierced through her neck and her cousin Mushtaq Baluch, 20, died on the spot.

A new Youtube video shows the peaceful rally was attacked as a female speaker Banuk Andaleeb Gichki was telling the crowd gathered at the Tump High School to mourn the earlier killing of poet Meerjan Meeral Baluch that the Baluch had not gone to Islamabad and Lahore to attack anyone so how could they be called terrorists.

She said the Pakistani authorities were using the same divide and rule policy that was used by the British when the pitted Muslims and Hindus to prolong their rule in India.

As Gichki was speaking, the Frontier Constabulary opened unprovoked firing, the Youtube video shows.

"No honorable Baluch can tolerate such atrocities against their womenfolks," the AFB activists, who are US citizens, said.

According to secular Pashtuns, the soldiers in the Frontier Constabulary, who get less than $100 each month to play the role or mercenaries in Baluchistan, say they are serving Islam by targeting Baluch.

The two AFB activists welcomed the statement of Baluch national hero Hyrbyair Marri in which he made it clear the Baluch have chosen the lofty goal of independence of their motherland and that there would be no compromise on this single, most important clause.

The AFB welcomed Islamabad's assurance that it was abandoning its plans for new garrisons in occupied Baluchistan, but said the Pakistan army announcement fell far short of the Baluch national expectation and aspiration of complete pullout of Pakistani troops and paramilitary force from Baluchistan.

"Pakistani forces must be replaced by an international peacekeeping force, possibly by broadening the terms of reference of the International Security Assistance Force to include Baluchistan if the US and the West really want to solve the issue of global terrorism," they urged.

The AFB hailed the salient features of the Kerry-Lugar Bill, with its thrust of socio-economic development, but urged the funding must be done on the basis of the geographic size of Baluchistan and directly through USAID and other international non-governmental organizations, rather than allowing US taxpayers monies to go waste through phenomenal corruption at the hands of Pakistani managers.

Texas-sized Baluchistan was illegally annexed into Pakistan at the point of gun through a so-called Instrument of Accession in Macrh 1948 -- more than seven months after the British left India -- and is in the throes of a bloody independence struggle, which the Baluch call the Fifth War of Liberation.

Pakistani court issues notice to Musharraf for murder case

Pakistan's Balochistan High Court (BHC) Friday summoned former President Pervez Musharraf along with a number of key officials of his regime in the next hearing of a former governor murder case set for Oct. 7, local TV channel reported.

A divisional bench of BHC issued the notices to ex-government's officials while hearing a petition filed by Jamil Akbar Bugti for the registration of his father Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case, the private TV channel GEO News reported. Nawab Akbar Bugti was the former Governor and Chief Minister of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province.

Those who were summoned by the court include Musharraf and former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, ex-federal interior minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and some other former officials.

Earlier, a local court had rejected the same petition against Musharraf.

Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed in 2006 by security forces during Musharraf's regime. He is also the chief of the bugti tribe who went underground in 2005 joining militants that have been waging an armed insurgency for a long time.

Since late 2004, hundreds of people have been killed in the clashes between security forces and local anti-government tribals demanding greater autonomy and a bigger share of profits from Balochistan's natural resources.

If I compromise on Baloch movement, my followers will kill, replace and forget me, says Bramdagh Bugti

EXCLUSIVE:

By Malik Siraj Akbar

A confident Baloch guerrilla commander Nawabzada Bramdagh Bugti, 28, believes it is now “impossible” for Islamabad to get him extradited even if he is hiding somewhere in Afghanistan, as claimed by Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik, or elsewhere in the wake of increasing “international moral support” the “ Baloch national liberation movement” is attracting because of its “legitimacy”.

Bramdagh, the fiercest face of the Baloch insurgency, is a grandson of late Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, a former chief minister and governor of Balochistan who was killed by the Pervez Musharraf regime in a military operation on August 26 2006. Since then, the young separatist has taken the command of the armed Baloch fighters who demand an independent Balochistan. While the senior Bugti only demanded provincial autonomy for the gas-rich Balochistan province, Bramdagh differently interprets his grandfather’s dream. He stands for a free and sovereign Balochistan.

Pakistan has been blaming India for supporting Bramdagh’s armed movement via Afghanistan where Islamabad believes this young fighter is currently hiding. The situation in Balochistan has now transformed into a pain in Islamabad’s nick. On his part, the Baloch leader says if he enjoyed international support, he would vanquish his enemy overnight.

In yet another excusive interview with this writer, the chief of Baloch Republican Party (BRP) and one of the most influential armed commanders of the ongoing Baloch movement once again denied hiding somewhere in Afghanistan. Excerpts:

MALIK SIRAJ AKBAR: How do you feel about possible efforts by Islamabad to pressurize the Afghan government to get you extradited from Afghanistan where you are believed to be currently hiding?

BRAMDAGH BUGTI: I have said it many times that I am not hiding in Afghanistan. I am very much among my Baloch people. With such propaganda, Islamabad is trying to raise non-issues and divert attention from the actual objectives and steady success of our struggle for Balochistan’s separation from Pakistan.
Dynamics of international politics have remarkably changed in the recent times. Our consistent armed struggle has proven it to the world that the Balochs are not terrorists but freedom fighters. Today, there is more “moral support” to us from the western media and the civilized world than ever before. Therefore, even if I am hiding in Afghanistan or somewhere in Europe, I am still confident that my hosts, no matter who they are but fully understand what the Baloch movement stands for, will not get me extradited to Pakistan at any cost.
The government of Pakistan had made failed attempts to implicate Hairbayar Marri and Gazin Marri, the sons of Nawab Khair Baksh Marri, in London and Dubai respectively in terrorism charges in the past. These Baloch leaders were tried in the most standard courts of the world where everyone is expected to get equal justice. These courts acquitted the Baloch leaders of terrorism charges and acknowledged that they were only the victims of geo-politics. They had been forced by Pakistan to flee their towns, which had come under intense bombardment, and take shelter either in the Baloch hills or go abroad.

MSA: How popular do you think your movement is internationally?

BB: Blunders committed by Pakistan itself have helped us very much to gain international popularity. When the sons of Nawab Marri were arrested from London and Dubai, the world community was forced have a more realistic look at Balochistan. Luckily, the western media is now covering the Baloch issue more keenly and objectively. The civilized world discreetly buys our demand of control on our resources against a country that is using bombs and tanks on the Baloch population.

MSA: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and his Indian counterpart Primer Manmohan Singh recently mentioned the Balochistan issue in Sharm el-Sheikh. What is your reaction to this development?

BB: Pakistan has been trying to muzzle our voice by all available means. Blunders by Islamabad, such as holding India responsible for the prevailing unrest in Balochistan, have only helped us to internationalize our cause. The Baloch movement is purely indigenous without getting substantial foreign assistance. Nonetheless, I would appeal to the international community to come to our help to get us rid off Pakistan.

MSA: How would you define your guerilla war against Islamabad?

BB: Our guerilla war should be viewed in political terms rather than being interpreted as a terrorist movement. We never initiated this war. The government of Pakistan imposed a war on our people. My grandfather, Nawab Bugti, was forthcoming towards reconciliatory efforts but he was driven out of his home. I wish to emphasize that ours is a war in the self-defense. We admit being weaker against a mighty State of Pakistan that has bombs, tanks and helicopters to attack us. Now, our war will continue until we fully achieve our destination of freedom.

MSA: How do see the recently formed Independent Balochistan Council formulated by the Khan of Kalat Mir Suleman Dawood?

BB: I have read about it only in the media. I am not in touch with the Khan of Kalat. However, I deeply admire every sincere effort that is made for an independent Balochistan.

MSA: Let’s assume that you manage to get independence for Balochistan. Do you think an Independent Balochistan is viable?

BB: We keep hearing this propaganda by the Punjabis and Islamabad that an independent Balochistan will not survive. We think differently. The Baloch movement has matured to a large extent. We know the importance of independence. We will preserve it by hook or by crook. The Balochs are so conscious about their rights today that if I compromise on their movement with the Pakistani establishment, my own followers will definitely desert , replace and kill me. Today, our small children refuse to sing Pakistan’s anthem. They burn the “Punjbai flag”. Do you not think this is a significant headway?
I am not an idealist. Like every other movement in the world, the Baloch movement also has its weaknesses and shortcomings. I have never claimed to be running an ideal movement. Challenges are there. But I want to tell Islamabad not to worry about the Balochs. We can manage ourselves. Punjab deprived our people of right to education. We will educate our people. We do not need the sympathies of the Punjab.

MSA: One can see the rise of a Marri- Bugti confederacy in Balochistan. Do you agree? (Recently a son of Nawab Khair Baksh Marri married Bramdagh’s sister)

BB: Marri and Bugtis have lived together for ages. We share borders with each other. More importantly, we believe we are faced with a collective enemy. Therefore, we are more united today and we wish to extend this unity in order to achieve our goals.
However, it would be misleading if you narrowly look at our popular resistance movement to, what you call, a mere “Marri-Bugti confederacy”. Today, Turbat district, where there is no tribal system at all, is the home to separatist movement. After the killing of Ghulam Mohammad Baloch, Lala Munir Baloch and Sher Mohammad Baloch, Turbat has brought itself at par with Dera Bugti and Sui in the resistance movement. Hence, you should know that the movement for an independent Balochistan is equally popular among the people who are well educated and have never lived under tribal system.

MSA: The PPP government has constituted a constitutional committee headed by Senator Raza Rabbani to address the Baloch grievances. What do you say about it?

BB: I have one thing to say about the PPP government: It is suppressing the Balochs more brutally than the Pervez Musharraf regime. There is no let-up in the situation in Balochistan under the PPP government. The military operation is taking place unabated. More cantonments and check posts are being established. (This interview was taken before Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani’s announcement this week that the federal government had decided to withhold the construction of cantonments in Balochistan, which was a bone of contention between Islamabad and the Baloch nationalists, note by the interviewer) Political activists are being kidnapped and subjected to inhuman treatment. Baloch press is being muzzled. Even then, if someone expects us to still negotiate with the people who ruined our lives then you are not being fair with us.

MSA: But isn’t there still a possibility of confidence building measures? What would your recommend the PPP government to do so that you would agree to negotiate?

BB: Our demands are simple. Withdraw the Punjabi army from Balochistan and declare the independence of Balochistan.

MSA: Your demands are perhaps too high for Islamabad to meet. Can you not compromise on something less than that?

BB: The PPP government has declared a war against us. They want us to negotiate on gun-point which we will never do. Recently, the Herald magazine ran a cover story saying that Dera Bugti was a no-go area. If the area is not under military operation then why does the government not allow entry to the independent media to see the ground realities in that conflict-stricken area?
As far as compromising on something less is concerned, you see our fight with Pakistan is not on water or gas issues. We are fighting for our independence. They have illegally occupied our land. We neither demand anything from them or agree to give anything to Islamabad. Therefore, the best formula for Islamabad is to withdraw from our land and grant us freedom. Once that is done, there would be peace and tranquility in Balochistan. Later on, we will decide about the nature of relations an independent Balochistan would like to keep with Pakistan.

MSA: Your supporters are believed to have kidnapped and subsequently killed around 20 Baloch policemen in Naseerabad district. The local Balochs have expressed their resentment to these killings. Likewise, why are the Baloch separatists target killing the Punjbai teachers in Balochistan?

BB: I do not call the BLA [Baloch Liberation Army] and BRA [Baloch Republican Party] as my supporters. They are my brothers. I fully endorse all their operations. If they resort to extreme actions then they surely have suffered the same level of brutality by the Pakistani forces.
We had formerly warned all the Balochs not to serve in the Pakistani security forces against the Baloch fighters. Likewise, the policemen in Naseerabad, despite being Balochs, were being disloyal to their mother land when they tried to operate against the very people who are struggling for their independence. However, every effort was made to spare the laborers and innocent people who were kidnapped.
As far as the target killing of teachers is concerned, I do not understand why the Pakistani authorities and the media shout only when one Punjabi teacher or barber is killed. Why not a single word is uttered when Baloch towns after towns are bombarded by the Pakistani authorities? I have said it many times: target killings are a justified reaction of the Baloch against the policies of the Punjabi army.

MSA: Doest that mean you endorse these target killings?

BB: I said before that target killings are the reaction to an action. If one Punjabi teacher is killed, one hundred more Balochs are also killed in response by the security forces. The government functionaries destroy all the livelihood of the poor Baloch tribesmen by bombarding their homes, goats and sheep with helicopters and jet airplanes. What are the other ways left for us? Why should we no react?
I was reading an article, which I admire, by a Baloch writer who said we were not carrying out enough target killings. There is a need for more such killings. These killings, according to that writer, should be intensified and expanded to the Punjab. If Panjab does not review its attitude towards the Baloch then I believe the Balochs would be justified to even enter the towns of Punjab to eliminate the Punjabis who are killing the Balochs. So, don’t force us to that extent.

MSA: Now that your cousin Mir Aali Bugit has been elevated as the chief of Bugti tribe and Shahzain Bugti, the son of your uncle Talal Bugti, is also planning to return to Dera Bugti, what is the justification on your part to oppose the Bugti tribe?

BB: Islamabad has had a long policy of divide and rule in Balochistan. It does not surprise me if they pit my cousin against me. This is not a long-term solution to the Baloch problem. When the government took over, it promised to end the military operation in the first four months. On the contrary, today, we are witnessing more violence in Dera Bugti. Neither the military operation has ended nor have the attacks by the Baloch ‘freedom fighters’ declined.
The experiment of brining Mir Aali to Dere Bugti completely failed. The so-called Nawab of Bugti tribe lives amid unprecedented fear and uncertainty. He is afraid of the very people who surround he does not even trust them. He does not allow them to get out of Dera Bugti. If Mir Aali was truly in control of the affairs in the district then why would he not allow the independent media to visit Dera Bugti?

MSA: Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi often ridicules your movement by saying that you cannot get independence by burning Pakistani national flag or target killing teachers.

BB: Why are you quoting a man who is paid a salary from Islamabad to speak and act against us? We do not care what Magsi or Raisani have to say about us. Because they are both confused people. Raisani once calls for the deployment of the Frontier Corps and then he tells the Herald that if he were powerful enough, he would drive all the security forces out of Balochistan. Every statement of the Chief Minister contradicts his previous one. We are fighting for a greater cause without caring much what Raisani or Magsi have to say about us.

MSA: Nawab Bugti gave the call for a single Baloch party. You have been asking the Baloch nationalists to give up parliamentary politics. Now, why isn’t your appeal taken seriously by the Balochistan National Party and National Party (NP).

BB: In my views, true nationalistic politics is that of armed resistance. We need to reject (Pakistan’s) parliamentary politics. The Balochs should increase their support for the armed groups. It does not make a big difference if the BNP and NP do not back the forces that vocally demand an independent Balochistan. All I want to tell my people is that we should unite. The government is eliminating the Baloch identity. The sooner we unite the better.
We already have a single Baloch party present in shape of the Baloch National Front (BNF) which is an organized group of around ten political parties. The Baloch people should strengthen the BNF so that our voice for an independent Balochistan becomes clear and loud enough for our people and the rest of the world.

MSA: Do you think your movement is successfully heading towards its destination?

BB: We are not talking about destination right now. I know it is still too far. So let’s not talk of the percentage of progress that we have made so far in our journey. Nonetheless, I am glad that we are increasingly progressing in our movement in terms of educating our people about the movement. Some years ago, no Baloch could even imagine talking about independence. On the other hand, its reassuring that our women and small children today hate Pakistan and fearlessly demand an independent Balochistan. Is this not a remarkable change in a country where dissent is stringently crushed? If we compare the level of consciousness among the Baloch with what was there on the ground three years ago, then one can conclude that we are gradually winning.

Hunger strike till death, In Lock-up.

Baloch political activists Mujahid Qaumi and Mujeeb Wali have announced a hunger strike till death against the inhumane behavior of the security officials and the prejudicial conditions they are being kept in. Both the activists are presently in Turbat police station, and are being severely tortured.

Mujeeb Wali Baloch, a member of Baloch Student Organization Azaad, while speaking to the journalists at Police station Turbat revealed that after being arrested at Gwak check post he was taken to an army camp where he was tortured and asked questions regarding the underground armed organizations, Wali Baloch tried to convince the interrogators that he was just a political activist and had no connection with the armed groups apart from the moral support, this response made the officials frustrate and in frustration they tortured him to an extent that he is presently unable to properly stand on his feet. He also told that he was taken to Rodhban bridge, where he was given life threats, and he was told that his destiny would be death if he continued supporting the freedom struggle. While Mujahid Qaumi who too is locked in the same station told that he couldn’t rest on his back as it was badly injured due to the torture he received.

The activists have decided to go on a hunger strike till death until the Station house officer and other police officials of Turbat police station bring an end to their inhumane behavior towards the prisoners, specifically the one’s, who support the Baloch freedom movement.

Mujahid Qaumi Baloch was arrested on 4th of September along with his father, Mr. Ali Jaan Qaumi, a Senior Baloch intellectual and poet. Mr. Ali Jaan has been transferred to district jail on the basis on fake allegations of carrying drugs. Mujahid Qaumi was surfaced after being kept in army torture cells for 5 days.

Mujeeb Wali Baloch, a zonal leader of B.S.O. Azaad, was arrested from Gwak Check post, while he was on his way to Turbat, on 8th of September 2009. He was surfaced after being kept in army torture cells for two days.

FC raid Balochistan University, it is an attempt to shut all educational institutions of Balochistan: BSO

QUETTA: The Frontier Corps (FC) on Wednesday claimed to have seized remote-controlled bombs, hand grenades and explosives from a hostel at the University of Balochistan.

According to details, the FC raided at the boys’ hostel while it was closed for a two-month summer vacation. The raid was carried out following a tip-off by intelligence sources.

The FC recovered 10 hand grenades, two TT pistols, eight homemade bombs and a large number of explosives from Room No 1 of the hostel’s Block 3.

Raid: A university official, requesting anonymity, told Daily Times that the raid had taken place after taking the university management into confidence

“Initial reports suggest that the room belonged to members of a Pashtun students’ group. We are trying to gather more information,” the official said, adding, “Since the entire hostel is shut, no arrests could be made.”

The Baloch Students’ Organisation (BSO) strongly condemned the raid, saying it was an attempt to shut all educational institutions of Balochistan and pave the way for a military operation in the province.

No students’ organisation – Baloch or Pashtun – would be foolish enough to dump weapons inside university hostels,” said Salam Sabir, central spokesman for the BSO.

He told Daily Times that the FC had been attempting to acquire university land to build its new headquarters in Quetta, due to a lack of space in its existing offices. Sabir alleged that the FC had dumped the explosives inside the hostel rooms to justify taking over the university hostels.

Sabir said the university and its hostels had been shut for the past two months and the management had recently extended the holidays despite resistance from the students’ organisations that demanded reopening of the university.

He alleged that the FC had arrested at least 11 Baloch students since its deployment at the University of Balochistan.

“FC personnel had been using the boys’ hostel for residential purposes for the last two months. Whatever explosives were discovered from the university belong to the FC itself. We will resist the presence of FC inside the university because the university already has its own police,” he said.Dailytimes.com.pk

Bebagr Baloch Goes Missing

Baloch Student Organisation (AZAD) Central Comittee Member Sangat Bebagr kidnapped by pakistani intelligence agency. He was arrested from a public gathering at Tump High School, where security forces opened fire on peaceful gathering reported young guy Mukhtar martyred and several badly injured, meanwhile security forces picked up Bebagr to an unknown place.

Mand: Mujeeb Baloch has been abducted

Former organizer of Baloch Student Organization Azaad, Mujeeb Wali Baloch has been arrested by Pakistan army in Mand. This incident took place in the morning while Mr. Mujeeb Baloch was on his way to Turbat, he was stoped and arrested at Gwak checkpost and his where about is still unknown. As this news reached the residents of Mand, women of Mand walked towards the F.C. camp and demanded Mujeeb Baloch’s safe release. These days a fear has grown among the hearts of the family members of the arrested people that they too might face a similar fate as Shaheed Ghulaam Muhammed Baloch (President B.N.M.) and Ghulaam Rasool Baloch (Joint Secretary B.N.M.), who were martyred after similar arrests by Pakistan forces. After the successive incidents of human rights abuses in the nearby areas of Mand, the people of Mand have developed even more hate against colonial rulers, which has increased the intensity and the number of protests in that area, in reaction fresh forces are reported to arrive at Mand and the number of forces is also being increased. Though the protests are being intensified but continuous silence of United Nations on the situation in Balochistan might compel the people to take in hand every opportunity to safeguard their lifes.

PAKISTAN: Frontier Constabulary stormed peaceful memorial service, killing one and critically injuring women and a child

A Statement by the Asian Human Rights Commission

On September 2, the Asian Legal Resource Centre released a statement calling urgent attention of the UN Human Rights Council to the threat of indiscriminate revenge killings in Balochistan made by Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies. (Please refer to the ALRC statement at: http://www.ahrchk.net/statements/mainfile.php/2009statements/2205/)

That threat was tragically realized on September 6, when the Frontier Constabulary (FC), a paramilitary group put in charge of law enforcement in Balochistan by the Asif Zardari government, deployed teargas and fired indiscriminately at a memorial service attended by hundreds, killing one and critically injuring others.

On Sunday morning, members of the Baloch Nationalist Front organized a public gathering at the hall of Government High School Tump in memory of their fellow colleague Shaheed Meer Jan Meeral, who was reportedly killed by the Pakistani army three days earlier. According to the organizers, the crowd was chanting slogans when uniformed men of the FC entered the hall and ordered immediate adjournment of the gathering. When the crowd refused to leave, the FC used teargas to disperse the crowd before opening fire and physically attacking the attendees.

Amidst indiscriminate fire, a Baloch activist, Mr. Mukhtar Baloch s/o Aziz Baloch, was killed by gunshots on his chest while 27 other attendees, including four women, were seriously injured. Ms. Shahnaz, a member of Baloch National Movement, is currently in critical condition at the Agha Khan Hospital in Karachi with bullet wounds on her neck and chest. Imram Baloch s/o Jaan Muhammed, a young boy of six, also suffered injuries from the FC’s attack. According to witnesses, many attendees were arrested and taken away on the spot, including five members of the Balochistan Students Organization.

After the incident, the officers involved in the shooting refused to accept responsibility for their behavior. They reportedly claimed that gunshots were first fired at them from inside the school hall; however, according to information received no FC officers are known to be injured.

The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) strongly condemns the outrageous behavior of FC officers involved in the indiscriminate shooting. It is deeply disturbing that with the ongoing abductions and target killings of political activists, law enforcement agencies in Balochistan have decided to go even further and kill innocent civilians at will. That children should become victims of military violence is unacceptable; and for the FC to be able to use with impunity such a condemnable tactic to instill fear among Baloch nationalists reflects not only recklessness on the part of the FC but also the worrying collapse of law and order in the province.

The AHRC has repeatedly called on the government of Pakistan to stop the hostile acts committed by state agencies in Balochistan and to bring all perpetrators to justice. Its failure to take concrete action is encouraging the vicious cycle of violence, with Baloch nationalists, feeling helpless before a government irresponsive to their plight, taking matters into their own hands and staging increasingly violent responses against law enforcement agencies.

For the safety and security of the people of Balochistan, the AHRC appeals to the UN Human Rights Council and international rights bodies to take urgent notice of the daily killings in the province by law enforcement agencies, in particular the Frontier Constabulary, and to use their influence in a concerted effort to lobby the government of Pakistan to enter into dialogue with the Balochi people instead of resorting to violent means that has thus far been proven ineffective and deeply damaging.

O Mukhtar - We SALUTE YOU

Muktar Baloch another victim of pakistani brutallity.

Munir Mengal as chief guest of Median Night , briefed media on Balochistan situation

He gave a detailed briefing about Balochistan’s current Situation, closer of [media] Balochistan National newspapers and the abductions of Baloch political and Student activists. Defending the Baloch resistance movement Mr Mengal said that BLA, BLF, and BRA are considered as Baloch Nation’s saviour forces in Balochistan.

Speaking to Balochwarna Mr Mengal said “I have briefed the German Media about Balochistan situation and Baloch Liberation struggle. According to Munir Mengal he told the media conference that Baloch are not terrorists but they are victims of state sponsored terrorism”.

Munir Mengal has been a victim of Pakistani authorities’ atrocities and he has witnessed the torture of many other Baloch prisoners at the hand of Pakistani Punjabi forces. He was the one who revealed the shocking news of Banuk Zarina Baloch [Marri] in the custody of Pakistani army.

Mr Mengal’s briefing has been well covered by the German Media; following are the articles clippings by the Germany First and most popular news paper Hamburg.

1919, Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, 2009 High School Tump Massacre.

A public gathering, organized by B.N.F. in the memory of Shaheed Meer Jan Meeral, has been a victim of indiscriminate firing by Pakistan army. This incident occurred in the morning around 11.30 am, where Pakistan army entered the premises where the public gathering was being held and opened straight fires on the participants of the event. As a result a Baloch political activist, Mukhtar Baloch s/o Aziz Baloch has embraced martyrdom, while 27 other people including 4 women have been seriously injured. Among the injured people Banuk Shahnaz is in critical conditions and has been taken to Karachi for further medical treatment. Many activist including 5 members of B.S.O Azaad are also reported to be arrested by the Pakistan army, including the member of Central Committee Beebagr Baloch.

According to the reports received by Sagaar, the public gathering, which was in the memory of Shaheed Meer Jan Meeral, who was martyred 3rd September this year. The event was organized in regard of the 3rd day of Meer’s martyrdom, which started at morning by 10.00 am. The public gathering was held in Government High School Tump and as it began Pakistani forces besieged the school and while Banuk Andleeb Baloch was addressing the crowd Pakistani forces rushed into the school premises and started firing on the participants of the event. Tear gasses were fired on the crowd and the participants were beaten badly by the forces, where young children and women were also victimized. As a result of the firing, a member of Baloch National Movement, Mukhtar Baloch s/o Abdul Aziz Baloch, a resident of Soro Mand, could not survive due to having injuries on chest. While Banuk Shahnaz, another member of B.N.M. is in critical conditions with injuries on neck and chest and is presently having medical treatment in Agha Khan Hospital, Karachi, whereas Imdad s/o Hayatan, a resident of Malikabad Tump, is also said to be in critical conditions. The injured people include Imran Baloch s/o Jaan Muhammed who is of just 6 years, Banuk Jannat d/o Yousaf Baloch, Banuk Dur Bibi d/o Ahmed Baloch, Banuk Andleeb, Arif Dazni Baloch, Ibrahim Nowsherwan Baloch, Shoaib Ibrahim Baloch, Aijaz Nawaz Baloch, Asif Baloch, Wahid Baloch, Sher Jaan Baloch, Peer Jan Baloch, Khurshid Baloch Beebagr Baloch, Wahab Khuda Baksh Baloch, Mubarak Ali Baloch, Asad Daazni Baloch, Nabeel Mehmood Baloch, Waleed Baloch, Muneer Adam Baloch, Hussain Baloch, Saddam Baloch, Zahid Baloch and Tahir Faqeer Baloch.

Many political activists and the member of the Central Committee, B.S.O. Azaad, Beebagr Baloch has been arrested along with four other members of B.S.O. Azaad.

This must be taken in consideration that the public gathering was being held in a school’s compound, and in an compound the unarmed participants can’t go towards violence, therefore this step of Pakistan army purely depicts that they planned a mass murder quite similar to the incident which took place back in 1919 by British colonialists, called as JallianWala Bagh Massacre. Pakistan army proved its heredity by this act that it basically belongs to the same blood line of the colonialists.

The Baloch and Sindhi paid tribute to Nawab Bugti

A remembrance meeting was held in the memory of Nawab Akber Bugti in the University of London Union Building on August 30, 2009. The meeting was organized by Balochi Human Rights Council (UK) and World Sindhi Congress. The meeting was hugely attended by the Baloch and Sindhi community in the UK.

A two minutes silence was observed to pay respect to the Baloch legendary leader.

Speakers from all walks of life paid high tribute to the great martyr of the Baloch national resistance. They highlighted various aspects of Nawab Bugti’s life, his role in the Baloch national struggle and the impact of his martyrdom on the Baloch and Sindhi national resistance.

In a resolution the meeting while paying tribute to Nawab Bugti for his ultimate sacrifice for his motherland, demanded from the international community to take action so that the murderers of Nawab Bugti and thousands of the Baloch face justice. The gathering demanded that the United Nation should investigate the circumstances of the brutal murder of Nawab Bugti and the responsible should be tried in an international court for the crimes they committed.

The meeting observed that the Pakistani state has been conducting a systematic and planned genocidal operation in Balochistan since the occupation in 1948. The situation has worsened during the last seven years in which thousands of the Baloch have been uprooted, arrested, tortured and killed by the state security apparatus. Thousands are missing and are believed to be languishing in the torture camps of the Pakistani military. There has been a sustained campaign of physically eliminating the Baloch political, intellectual, social and tribal leadership. The meeting demanded that international community physically intervene in Balochistan in order to bring an immediate halt to the genocidal actions of the Pakistani Military and facilitate in bringing the perpetrators of heinous crimes against humanity to courts of justice.

The meeting observed that while the right of self determination is the fundamental right of all colonized and oppressed nations according the United Nation Charter, the denial of this basic human right by the Pakistani State tantamount to the violation of the UN Charter. The gathering demanded that the international community should take necessary actions in granting the right of self determination to the Baloch and Sindhis and facilitate and support them in their struggle to regain their national sovereignty and independent.

The meeting was chaired by Waja Akber Barakzai Honorary President of BHRC and proceedings were conducted by Samad Baloch General Secretary of Baloch Human Rights Council (UK). The speakers on occasion included Khan Suleiman Daud, Dr. Lakhu Lohana, Dr. Naseer Dashti Abdullah Baloch, Banouk Mahdem Hosseinbor,Jamshed Amiri, Dr. Mustufa,Suriya Makhdoom, Abdul Wahid Bandeeg, Dr. Haleem Bhatti,Mehrab Sarjov, Faiz Baloch, Ewen MacMillan and Hasan Hamdam.
